The story behind Disc Rescue Network
Nothing crazy or groundbreaking, just a genuine story of problem solving into a real business model. DRN started out as a personal problem solving method for our founder Chris Deck when he stepped in to volunteer at Tranquility Trails in New Jersey. Having seen the current method of managing the lost and found, which consisted of some buckets, a Facebook group, manual text messages and a notebook; Chris realized he could code up something easier and faster to manage. Thus the Alpha v1 prototype was created.
Fast forward to a few months later and more and more ideas started cropping up. What if the system could do this? What if it could do that? More and more courses started seeing the system and sharing their interest and Chris realized that we could help players and courses all over with our system and, just maybe, make a real business out of this little idea that cropped up as a simple solution.
Now, just 5 months later, we are a team of 5 people working hard on developing a full lost and found management system for Disc Golf Courses across the world.
